D'harawahl nation
Mabarraa Peter Kafer is a proud D'harawahl man, born in Newcastle ( NSW) and a proud Saltwater man.He lives in Port Stephens NSW.
Peter is a recognised member of the Indigenous Art Code Ltd.
He gets his inspiration for his artwork from stories related to him throughout his life by many of his Uncles'.
Artefacts & paintings of his have been sold in USA & Europe as well as Australia.
Wanaruah and D'harawahl nations
Morgen Kafer is a Newcastle (Australia) born and raised artist with familial ties to both the Wanaruah and D’harawahl nations.
Morgen spends most of her time these days in the nation’s capital (Canberra) on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country and often spends her holidays in Port Stephens on Worimi country where she grew up.
Morgen uses multiple mediums and vibrant colours to express a unique, contemporary style of art. Morgen’s work is heavily influenced by the majesty of Australia, her people, and vast landscapes
WUPA@wanaruah supports talented wanaruah artists. Duruga's artists always participate in their annual exhibition, with a percentage of profits supporting health and wellbeing services for the local community through Ungooroo corporation.
The lovely owners and team at the Terrace Diner and Play in Raymond Terrace, NSW Australia allow Duruga Aboriginal Art to display our original artworks on their walls.
